In Resurrecting the Champ, Josh Harnett plays a sports reporter who’s really not cutting it at work. So much so, the paper’s editor played, by Alan Alda, tells Josh he doesn’t write with heart. Josh doesn’t know what to do until late one night when he finds a bunch of losers beating up on a homeless guy, played by Samuel L. Jackson. Josh finds out the homeless guy was once a world class boxer. Now he has the story of his life…there’s even talk of a Pulitzer prize. Until that is, the truth is revealed…or is it? Josh is determined to dig into the past and find out what really is the truth. He’s faced with not only loosing the best opportunity of his life, but losing the faith of his wife and son. The truth is not always as it seems.
